Era blinked as the stupidly brightness shone into her home. She walked out of her freezing cave and basked in the warmth. Well, the sun DID have something useful after all. She fanned her wings out and felt her body temperature rise. Era now felt as perky as ever and leapt into the sky. She headed towards the hunting grounds.

Era smashed into the ground, splattering the floor and walls with blood. "Owww...." she moaned and closed her eyes. Please, someone, put me out of this misery.

Mika and Miko sniffed her den. "Era, do you want some poppy seeds and a bandage?"

"Yes, please." Era whispered without opening her eyes. "Or how about putting me out of this pain?"

Era cracked open an eyelid and regarded the seeds. "Sure." she said inaudibly and licked the down. She immediately felt drowsy, her mind wasn't thinking properly. Are they drugging me?

"The poppy seeds will make you a little drowsy" Miko said.
"Do you want some water?" Mika asked, obviously concerned.

"Strangely yes." Era said, feeling thirsty. Maybe it was the blood loss. She dared herself to check her wound and was pleased to see the bleeding had stopped. She was not pleased to see her intestines.

Miko pressed a bandage and put everything back in, before wrapping it up tight.

"Can I take some moss from the walls?" Mika asked Era.

"And clean up this place. It reeks of my blood." Era muttered and tried to move, but couldn't. It was too painful. "I'm glad you two are around," she said, not believing what she was doing.

Mika licked his lips and growled. Miko flicked his tail at Era.

Miko heard a scrape from the roof, flicked his tail to the roof. Mika nodded and they snuck out the cave, before pouncing onto the roof, snarling
